VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority in San Antonio will begin their new system of bus service on Monday morning, August 4. The new system is the result of a two-year study, the Comprehensive Service Plan, and is the first time sweeping changes have been made ot the entire bus system since VIA began operation way back in 1978. The new system is expected to result in more frequent service on busier routes, improved weekend service for many routes; and simpler, easier-to-read bus schedules.
