If this were the Stock Market, then the stock of a venture capital passenger rail proejct in Central Texas just went up. The chairman of the House Transportation Committee in Texas, Rep. Mike Krusee, is exploring passenger rail options in this area of the State.

Missouri City straddles the Harris County-Fort Bend County line making it eligible to be a member-city of the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County… which it did a number of years ago. One of their congressmen: Tom DeLay, the longtime opponent of passenger rail in Houston, though his district does not include Harris County or Houston.

Houston METRO’s “METRO Solutions” service plan, to be voted on in November, will include a planned 50 per\cent increase in mobility service for people with disabilities and senior citizens in the Houston area.
