The current plan in the greater San Antonio area — Mobility 2025 — identified nearly $10 billion in road, transit, bicycle and pedestrian projects. But that’s just a third of what’s needed, and as a result, traffic congestion is expected to eventually double and affect 60 percent of the thoroughfare system.

METRO rail cars are “on track”

Two and a half months before the first line becomes operational, two of the sleek, 95-foot-long, 12-feet-tall cars were placed on the track outside Reliant Stadium as part of a Metro event allowing the public to step aboard Metro vehicles.
