The Community Transportation Association of America, (CTAA) offers certifications of all types related to public transportation. Their credo is “Effective public and community transportation contributes mightily to the quality of life of the people living in the cities, towns and communities in which it operates.”
The Certified Community Transit Manager (CCTM) certification status marks the greatest performance and highest efficiency in the community transportation industry; it is proof of the ability to manage a comprehensive and dynamic community transportation system. CTAA offers a two-day program, culminating with a rigorous professional exam.
Texas Transit Association Executive Director, Ben Herr, Jacque Wolske of HOTCOG, and Vince Huerta of LULAC, recently completed the CCTM course and have received this certification. Texas boasts one of the greatest numbers of CCTMs in the country, second only to California.
