Reviewing the program you’ll also notice we’re creating several opportunities for larger discussions about the issues that will challenge community transportation leaders, officials and advocates in the years ahead as well as the skills needed to meet those challenged. Because we’re in New Orleans we will also explore two important issues with special conferences, Emergency Evacuation and Employment Transportation — two topics connected to Katrina and the recovery. Both our intensive training and professional development sessions reflect our goal to provide a more in-depth, targeted training experience for EXPO attendees this year.
EXPO has already moved front and center on our website’s homepage www.ctaa.org and actual conference registrations have begun!
Last but certainly not least–our Association has done important work on Hurricane Katrina recovery all along the Gulf Coast. You are all aware of our legislative efforts to help our members in the affected communities as well as the people who live there.
