Federal Funds Update: Dec. 12

December 12, 2003 in Legislative News

The American Public Transportation Association reports the following:
“[T]he House approved the FY 2004 Omnibus Appropriations bill that includes $7.3 billion for federal transit programs. While we’re pleased to see the bill move forward, the Senate leadership announced today that it will not consider the measure until Congress returns after January 20. In the meantime, funding for federal transit programs will be provided under a continuing resolution that funds federal programs through January 31, 2004; we understand that FTA intends to soon apportion funds available under the continuing resolution.”
