Midland-Odessa gets ready for service
October 1 is the start date for the Midland-Odessa Urban Transit District. In furtherance of that start date, the Odessa City Council authorized a $173,000 operating budget and $2.2-million capital budget from state and federal grants for the rest of this fiscal year, ending Sept. 30. The transit district will begin operating five city bus routes in Odessa and six in Midland on that Oct. 1 start.
