Ricardo A. Sanchez Slected as General Manager of The B

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority’s (RTA) Board of Directors announced their selection for General Manager as Ricardo A. Sanchez, on August 4, 2004.

Mr. Sachez is the current Director of Special Projects, a position he has held for more than five (5) years. He has management oversight over four functional areas: planning and development of capitol projects and managing transit stations and facilities; responding to special projects and research assignment, and providing public direction over information technology operations and initiatives.

Mr. Sanchez has a Master of Arts Degree from Trinity University of San Antonio, Texas in Urban Studies. He has over twenty years of professional and managerial experience in public transportation, which began with the Houston Public Transportation System. In his public career he has worked in varying capacities: fleet management; procurement and grants, materials and facilities management; contract compliance; information technology (IT); and general management.

The B serves 838 square miles and provides 5.6 million passenger trips annually.
