Traffic and Transportation Engineering Director
Metropolitan Transit Authority is seeking a Traffic and Transportation Engineering Director in Houston, Texas.
Position Description:
- Functions in the lead role and directs department activities for Traffic Engineering analyses, transportation planning and roadway geometric design in the support of preliminary planning, conceptual development, engineering design and construction of METRO transit-related projects and intelligent transportation systems associated with HOV lanes operations.
- Responsible for preparing department budgets, strategic department planning and managing staff issues.
- Responsible for the overall implementation of traffic and transportation–related tasks and for the supervision of involved staff.
- Must be able to direct others in the review and monitoring of activities being conducted by traffic consultants under contract to METRO involved in the above-related tasks.
