Welcome New TTA Board Members
The TTA Board of Directors has three new members.
Rob Stephens, Director of a newly created consolidated rural urban district, Concho Valley Transit District (CVTD) in San Angelo, Texas, has been elected to fill the Place 2 seat representing Rural Transit Operators. Stephens has worked for the Concho Valley Council of Governments for more than 15 years, participating in the Statewide Regional Service Planning Study Group in 2006.
John Valls of the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority’s (CCRTA) Board of Directors, will represent that agency in its appointed place on the TTA Board of Directors, representing Metropolitan Transit Authorities whose dues qualify them for a place on our board. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Sam Houston State University and an MBA from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and serves as Marketing Manager for The Port of Corpus Christi.
Mr. Frank Tobey, who is the Regional Vice President for First Transit, Inc., is our newest board member representing our Associate Members. He joins Reba Malone of Reba Malone and Associates, as well as Barry Goodman of The Goodman Corporation, both reelected to new terms.
Tobey has been with First Transit since 1978 and has been a long time supporter of TTA. He is responsible for overseeing customer satisfaction for First Transit’s contracts in Austin, Brownsville, Laredo, and Denton, Texas, as well as Memphis, Reno, and other places, with a total of 1,500 employees and 900 vehicles.
